Printed Matter, Alleged Press and DAP are proud to announce a book-signing event to celebrate the release of Chris Johanson: Please Listen I have Something to Tell You About What Is. This book is the first hardcover monograph to focus exclusively on the work of this innovative and versatile artist and spans over ten years of his works. The book launch will also feature a reading by Sean Kennerly from his contribution to the book, which will be accompanied by Johanson on jazz guitar. The artist will also be available to sign copies of his book.

Chris Johanson has exhibited his works internationally and received the 2002 SECA Award, given by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Johanson was included in the 2002 Whitney Biennial, SITE Santa Fe in 2003 and 9th Istanbul Biennial in 2005. He currently lives and works in Portland, Oregon.
