TIM BARBER at JRNL GALLERY

Tim Barber
A Pile of Shit Has a Thousand Eyes
August 25th to September 5th, 2006

Opening Reception, Friday August 25th, 6 to 9pm

The Journal Gallery and Capricious Magazine are pleased to present photographer Tim Barber's first New York solo show, "A Pile of Shit Has a Thousand Eyes", a selection of photos spanning the last eleven years. As the show's title suggests, the installation of photographs will present a shattered narrative, weaving varied perspectives, formal qualities, and subjects ranging from the transcendent to the mundane.

Barber, 27, grew up in Amherst Massachusetts, lived in the mountains of Northern Vermont, went to school for four years in Vancouver B.C. and has now settled in New York City. He runs the online gallery www.tinyvices.com and his work has been published and exhibited nationally and internationally.
